I offer for sale this Excellent condition Vintage 1916 Gillette Bell Handle Aristocrat Safety Razor. This razor is known as a 3-piece open comb razor. It is the first Aristocrat in a long line of Aristocrats. It is also called the ?Bell handle? for the bell shaped flair at the base of the handle. This razor is in Absolutely Mint Condition with no dings, or dents, the razor has been re-plated with its original silver plating, there used to be a crack in the handle which is been fixed. The handle of this razor is completely solid even though remnants of the crack can still be seen. This razor has Absolutely No Plate Wear and the teeth are not bent, cracked or missing. The Serial number D778414 is stamped into the lower blade plate meeting this razor was produced in 1916.
The case is called French Ivory and is in wonderful condition with no chipping on the edges. The hinge works as if it were brand-new, there are no scratches or scars on the case anywhere, this set also comes with one blade box. The inside of the case is very clean although there is some vintage wear to the material inside the case, overall it is in Very Good Condition. It is a great collectable piece for your collection or for use. It is a wonderful example of the Gillette safety razor history, it is a very nice shaving razor and this type of razor gives a smooth, clean and comfortable shave. This shaving kit is a one-of-a-kind item which may never be seen again. Remember that not making anymore.
